These terms apply to RUV Labs Expert Review, a paid service in which a verified Expert Reviewer evaluates a founder's materials. They supplement the Terms of Service. "We" means ISCT LLC, operator of RUV Labs.
Part A: For founders
1. What you get

2. Process
- Purchase through Stripe Checkout and upload your materials.
- We assign a reviewer with relevant experience and check for conflicts of interest.
- The reviewer delivers the report (and, for Deep, schedules the call) by the due date.
- You can rate the reviewer.
3. Refunds
Full refund if no reviewer is assigned within 72 hours, if you cancel before assignment, or if the review is not delivered by the due date. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Confidentiality
Your materials are shared only with the assigned reviewer and RUV Labs staff who administer the service. Reviewers must keep them confidential and may not use them for any purpose other than the review, except as described in section 6.
5. Not investment advice
A review is one professional's opinion of your materials. It is not investment, legal, tax, or financial advice; it is not an offer to invest; and it does not predict outcomes.
6. Reviewer interest in investing
If a reviewer would like to explore investing in your company, they must first disclose their interest to you and to RUV Labs. Any discussion after that is between you and the reviewer and happens through RUV Labs direct messages. RUV Labs takes no part in, and receives no compensation from, any resulting investment.
7. Ownership of the report
You may use the report for any lawful purpose. The reviewer keeps the right to reuse general knowledge and non-confidential know-how.
Part B: For Expert Reviewers
8. Eligibility
You must hold the RUV Labs Expert Reviewer badge (verified VC investment experience) and complete Stripe Connect Express onboarding to receive payouts.
9. Your obligations
- Deliver a good-faith, professional review on time using the RUV Labs template.
- Disclose any conflict of interest before accepting an assignment, including investments in, employment with, or advisory roles at the founder's company or a direct competitor.
- Keep all founder materials confidential, do not download or share them beyond what the review requires, and delete any local copies after delivery.
- Do not solicit founders for paid services outside RUV Labs. If you want to explore investing, follow section 6.
- Do not use founder materials to train AI models or share them with AI services that retain data.
10. Payment
- You receive 70% of the price paid by the founder (USD 104.30 for Basic, USD 279.30 for Deep), excluding taxes collected by Stripe. RUV Labs retains 30% as a platform fee.
- Payouts are made through Stripe Connect after delivery, subject to Stripe's payout schedule and terms.
- No payout is due for reviews that are refunded because they were late or not delivered.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. Stripe may collect tax forms (such as W-9 or W-8BEN) from you.
11. Relationship
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of ISCT LLC. You do not speak for RUV Labs.
12. Quality and removal
We may stop assigning reviews to you, or remove the Expert Reviewer badge, if you miss deadlines, receive consistently poor ratings, fail to disclose conflicts, or breach these terms.
Part C: General
13. Liability
Our liability for Expert Review is limited as described in the Terms of Service and in no event exceeds the amount paid for the review in question.
