2. What happens next
We will remove or disable access to the material and notify the member who posted it, including a copy of the notice (with your contact information, as permitted by law).
3. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which RUV Labs may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.
4. Repeat infringers
We terminate the accounts of members who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
5. Misrepresentation
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
